My name is Katarina Štimac Tomić and for more than 15 years I have been helping brands grow, develop and find their place in the market.
My career is a combination of experiences from international corporations, entrepreneurship and consulting work, and the common denominator has always been – creating concrete, measurable results.
I started my professional journey in New Yorku working in Ralph Lauren, where I encountered the highest standards of sales, merchandising and customer service in fashion and luxury sector.
Next, I moved back to Zagreb, Croatia where I worked in Procter & Gamble, where I first worked for the region of Croatia and Slovenia on relations with state bodies and on brand PR campaigns for brands such as Gilette, Pantene, Pampers, and later in the region of Central Europe from Budapest I led communication and PR projects for well-known brands Fabric and Home Care category Ariel, Dreft etc.
Since 2020, I have been running my own consulting agency. The Brand Tale based in Barcelona. I specialize in growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, offering them everything from website design and digital campaigns to consulting on visual identity and developing sales strategies.
The clients I work with record on average 30% veći godišnji rast prodaje, and it is these results that motivate me the most.
In addition to my work, I am also happy to be able to pass on my knowledge – either through educating business owners or through mentoring. I believe that every collaboration should be honest, concrete and driven by a common goal, and my approach always combines analytics and creativity.
I studied international business at Towson University in the USA, where I played basketball at NCAA Division I Scholarships and was team captain. Sport taught me discipline, teamwork and leadership - values that I still transfer to every project today.
If you are looking for a partner who thinks strategically, acts quickly and delivers tangible results,, I believe we will successfully collaborate.
I use my international business education from Towson University in the United States of America and my corporate experience from working in big brands like Ralph Lauren in Connecticut and New York, Procter & Gamble in Zagreb and Budapest, which has a handful of retail brands, to help small companies create a strategy for marketing, sales and online business.
I also use my marketing and sales experience working in startups (fashion startup Trendcy, which I co-owned, and tech startup Golivecard) to help my clients avoid rookie mistakes. I teach them how to stay focused on priorities, learn to measure results, and tell memorable stories about their small businesses, so they can launch their online businesses quickly and affordably.

Even as a little girl, I knew that one day I would try to do great things, despite the war, despite everything.
When I was only 12 years old I read in Teen magazine that it was useful to make a “life map” – a visual representation of your goals. Since the only map I had at the time associated with pirates, I secretly took matches from the kitchen and theatrically burned the edges of the A4 paper.
I glued cut-out pictures onto that card: a woman in a suit from Večernji list who works in a corporation, a basketball from Košarka magazine as a symbol of a scholarship, a model's torso from Teen for a future partner, fashion editorials from Vogue that I bought with my school lunch money...
It was child's play then, but later it turned out to be manifestation – because that's exactly the path I took. I enrolled in a sports high school, I played in national team, got basketball scholarship to an American university, played NCA Division I, and after college continued to work and build a career.
That little map, made from imagination and with a little drama, became my first strategy and inspiration – and remained a reminder that all great stories begin with plan and a vision.

With online shopping, your products become available to the entire world. Although it seems like there are no borders, anyone who has tried to offer their products to a global market online will tell you that it is not an easy task. A web shop that aims globally must have a well-developed business plan behind it and start with a focus on one or a few markets depending on the marketing budget and type of product.
Several technology companies have tried their hand at creating smaller, niche-focused mobile applications aimed at Generation Z (10-25 years old) and Millenials (26-41 years old), which serve to record short mobile videos and represent a kind of alternative to large platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.
